This course forms the ‘core’ of the package and is highly recommended! It offers a fascinating and comprehensive exploration of the total yogic system (the theory) and empowers you with practical tools (a Vinyasa asana sequence, pranayama breathing exercises, meditation instruction and more) to continue with your own independent practice when you leave. These WILL significantly improve your life should you choose to implement them. The course is suitable for total beginners, as well as more advanced yoga practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of yoga as a spiritual practice. Pancho and Beatrix are incredible, inspiring teachers who have been teaching for the last 25 years and practising daily for even longer. They are both deeply committed to their own spiritual evolution, to sharing their extensive yogic knowledge with others, and to supporting people on their own journeys towards healing and wholeness. The morning class starts at 7.00am daily and finishes around 10.00am. The afternoon session is from 3.00pm until approximately 7.00pm. For more detailed information, please see Pancho and Beatrix’s website:

Mutmee is a beautiful guesthouse situated right on the Mekong river, and conveniently located on the same street as the yoga centre and therapy rooms. Its tranquil, shady garden is a wonderful place to relax with a meal, a drink or a book, strike up a conversation with the other guests or doze in a hammock. The owners Julian and Pao are amazing hosts and will help you feel at home in no time. There are a variety of rooms of different styles – some are traditional style with beautiful polished wooden floors, others more modern and sophisticated, with nicer fixtures and fittings. All have air conditioning, fans, fridges and private bathrooms with hot shower. There should be something to suit every taste. For pictures of the guesthouse/area, see

Choose from: Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Intuitive Healing, Integrated Bodywork, Ayurvedic Face Massage or Reiki. For more information, please see the Therapies pages on my website. Additional sessions can also be booked by request (at the cost of 800 baht/approximately £20 per session).

Often described by people as ‘the icing on the cake’ of their visit, Beatrix has been studying astrology for more than 40 years and is certainly one of the best astrologers in the world. Her Readings can provide the answers to your most pressing questions such as “why am I here?”, “what is my purpose?” and “why do I keep having these particular experiences?” Astrology is based on the understanding that everything in the universe is cyclical in nature, working together with an interconnected synchronicity. By studying the movements of the planetary bodies circling our sun, astrologers throughout the ages have been able to make correlations and come to a deep understanding of the inner workings of the human beings and their life-cycles. Beatrix specializes in Evolutionary Astrology, which focuses particularly on the evolutionary development of the individual: your direction & purpose in life, and how you can reach your highest potential. If you would like to clarify more about your unique life circumstances or are simply curious, a Reading with Beatrix is not to be missed! See for more information.

An intuitive movement practice and inner healing journey of self-exploration and expression. With the eyes closed (or half closed), we allow our body and feelings to be guided by the music – to “go with the flow”. There are no set steps, no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. Develop a deeper connection with your body, your intuition and the present moment –  and move into greater balance, freedom, peace, joy and wholeness, step by step! Sessions begin with a guided body awareness exercise and warm-up. The accompanying music will include a wide range of genres, speeds and beats to help you explore and connect with different parts of yourself.

Officially the ‘rainy season’, July and August is usually a very pleasant time to visit Nong Khai. Typically, there is a downpour of rain for a couple of hours at night, with sun, bright blue skies and pleasant temperatures of around 24-30’C during the day. Sometimes it also  rains during the daytime, but usually only for an hour or two. It’s advisable to bring a raincoat or umbrella though alongside your summer clothes!

There’s plenty to do in Nong Khai, so you won’t get bored! Choose to relax in Mutmee’s tranquil garden with a book, visit one of the local resorts for a swim, or experience a traditional Thai massage or steam sauna. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can take a bicycle trip along the Mekong out into the countryside, or explore the local temples, markets and eateries by bicycle, tuk tuk or on foot.
